Wow, I have the kilt, but never saw a whole suit made of that tartan. Looks really expensive.
My grandfather, James Charles Cumming was born in the Isle of Man, could be the Ramsey Parish and He came to Trinidad & Tobago around 1884 and got married to my grandmother, Ida Du Maine, she was born in Martinique. They got married around 1886 in Trinidad and I am trying to obtain a birth certificate of his.
He died in Trinidad in 1936. They had about 16 children, 14 survived but all have passed on now.
Can you assist me in obtaining a birth certificate for him?

My name is Janet Gibson. My dad’s father, James Charles Cumming was born in the Isle of Man sometime around 1864. He came to Trinidad and Tobago around the year 1884 to work with an uncle by the name of Johnny Cumming who was born and brought up in England and was married to a lady called Anne.
James, my grandfather married someone by the name of Ida du Maine from Martinique in Trinidad around the year 1886.
I am trying to obtain a birth certificate for my grandfather, James Charles Cumming. Would you be able to assist me as I do believe you are part of my family.
